Hello you guys/y’all depending on which part of the country you reside in. I recently got back from my 2 week training course in Georgia where I was basically treated as a alien who spoke a different language just because I say bag weird or I say you guys instead of y’all. Besides that part it was basically the best 2 weeks of my life growing in Christ even more and building a community around the people I just met. I experienced the love of the Holy Spirit like never before, some of you may not know what I’m talking about or you may think that I just got chills from being in a exciting environment. Let me tell you a little something about how that works.
I went into camp with no expectations and a open heart, and God decided it was time to rock my world. At training camp I met about 150 other Jesus freaks that knew how to have a good time. During worship sessions I would cry out to God to break the chains of my past and He did indeed. I felt this cool and warm sensation flow through my body and I felt a love like I have never felt before. You may be confused by this thought or may be discouraged but I am here to tell you you don’t have to be afraid. God loves you and is just waiting for the right time to enter through your heart, I tell you if you feel a tug from your conscious follow it and trust that God will provide. Before camp I was confused about a lot of things, like why are people putting there hands up during worship or why are they speaking in tongues. I was scared but after witnessing the true beauty behind it and looking up what those things mean in scriptures I now know a little bit more what it truly means to worship and I pray that all of you will understand it someday too!
I have only 4 weeks left until I depart for Guatemala, there me and my team of 6 other amazing guys will be pouring into the lives of boys k-12 in public school systems, we will grow with them, try to teach them about Jesus, and help them stray away from the misleading things in life like sex, gang violence, and drug use. That being said I still have to raise some more money for this trip, I have 10,050 dollars out of the 12,491 so if you feel like helping out much would be appreciated for any dollar amount!
