Hello everyone! Sorry I haven’t blogged in a while, my heart just wasn’t feeling it until now. Last night before heading to bed I had a thought, In howard suamico we have well over 20,000 people living here. If everyone donates 1 dollars I wouldn’t even have to go to every house. I thought about that some more and thought there is no way I can go to every single person in the area. I thought some more and thought, what if its 5 dollars and I made print offs and dropped them in a bunch of house, I have about 5,000 dollars as of right now and I have to get to 12,500. That is 7,500 left (yikes) but divide that by 5 (for the 5 dollars I am asking for) that is only 1,500 people of the area, still kind of a lot for dropping off slips in peoples mail boxes, then I thought some more. I thought what if I asked them to ask there friends and relatives for a simple 5 dollar donations. This slip would say something like this
“Hello howard-suamico resident. I am jack rymer, a recent graduate of bay port high school, in september I plan on leaving for a 9 month mission trip around the world, I am asking for a 5 dollars donation from you to help support me. These 5 dollars would mean the world to me from multiple residents of my hometown. Please share this message with friends and family. I am only asking 5 dollars and it only takes 30 seconds to do, so please visit me at jackrymer.theworldrace.org or contact me through my phone (920-371-5739) or my email ([email protected]), thank you.”
I can fit about 9 of those paragraphs (size 9 font with a press of a enter button in between paragraphs) onto a piece of paper so 1,500 people divide by 9 would be would round up to 167 sheets of paper. Now that is still kind of a lot to print off, so I’m asking YOU to print of about 5-10 sheets of paper, cut the paragraphs out so you have a lot of slips (which really should only take 9 cuts to do) and then go deliver them to mailboxes around your neighborhood, I will of course be doing a lot but I ask you to help me out friends by doing the same. I ask you to take 30 minutes out of your day to help me with this task and a possible one minute to go to the donation tab and donate 5 dollars.
