…for His steadfast love endures forever …for His steadfast love endures forever …for His steadfast love endures forever! (Psalm 136)

In the Old Testament, we read that God's people were commanded to tell the stories of God's faithfulness and wonders. The stories of what God had done for Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The stories of what God did in Egypt. And especially, the story of the Exodus God's salvation. They told their sons and daughters, who told their sons and daughters,  who told their sons and daughters. They wrote songs and poems to commemorate God's victories (see Exodus 15 & Judges 5). They were so serious about telling these stories that Hebrew boys were required to memorize the entire Torah (the first 5 books of the OT) and recite them, before the age of 10!

When times of uncertainty arose along their journey, they were to remember the stories of old, how God had shown his steadfast love at every turn. Psalm 136 emphasizes this truth with the repeated refrain " …for His steadfast love endures forever!" Every generation was to know these stories, lest they forget. Lest they forget what their God has done, lest they forget who their God is.

We are about to embark on a journey of our own. We are expecting God to do many great things. We areexpecting to have great stories to tell. We invite you to journeywith us by following our stories, and to share them with your friends and your family.

One such story that we recently heard has been challenging me lately. A few weeks ago, a World Race team went to a hospital in Uganda that was overflowing with patients – there were not enough beds for them all. Not being medically equipped, they talked with and prayed over the 200+ people needing help. Upon returning just a few days later, the hospital was EMPTY. God healed everyone they prayed for. Only a handful of new patients remained. The team stood, staring at rows upon rows of empty beds…

We are all apart of a bigger story. The story of what God has, what God is doing, and what He will do. The story of the Kingdom that He is bringing and is here even now.

We invite you to join us as we join His story.
