At the beginning of the week, my squad walked out together in the city of Pattaya, Thailand. We were walking at night passed the bars, strippers, prostitutes, and sex slaves. I was praying, and I felt like we should worship outside in the city and that God wanted us to worship outside in the city (we usually worshiped inside a hotel). I decided that it'd be good to suggest it to my squad at the end of the week.

At the end of the week, I remembered the idea to worship outside in the city. I thought that a good place to do it would be right outside of the hotel where our squad was having sessions each night and to sing just one song. I was nervous to request it to our squad just because I haven't made any suggestions in the past. I told my squad leaders, and they thought that it was a great idea for the next night. So as we were leaving that night, I asked God what song we should worship with. Immediately, the worship song ''God of this City'' came to my mind. I hadn't heard or thought of that song in a long time. I thought that it seemed like a great song to sing, so I decided that we'd worship with that song.

The next day, I was praying with my old teammate Jake, and he didn’t know anything about the worship song, and he was praying about stuff, and then all of a sudden I heard him say something like, ''God the song ''God of this City'' was written for this city that we're in- Pattaya.'' I was like, ''Was it really Jake??'' And he confirmed that it was, and told me who wrote it, and then he kept praying. I later googled it and sure enough, the song was written for Pattaya. I felt like God was telling me that our squad should worship with the song ''God of this City'' out in the city and out of all the cities in the world, we were in the city that the song was originally written for.

I asked the hotel for permission for us to sing outside of their hotel, and they said that it was ok, and our squad got to worship and prophecy over the city of Pattaya that night with that song. It was a beautiful and holy moment with the Lord, and I was happy and honored to feel as though he was speaking to me and that I was being obedient.

Lyrics:

[Verse 1]
You're the God of this City
You're the King of these people
You're the Lord of this nation
You are

[Verse 2]
You're the Light in this darkness
You're the Hope to the hopeless
You're the Peace to the restless
You are

There is no one like our God
There is no one like our God

[Chorus]
For greater things have yet to come
And greater things are still to be done in this City
Greater thing have yet to come
And greater things are still to be done in this City
