heartAs I was spending time with God, I feel that He gave me this vision for the World Race trip, and this is my personal prayer:

"She opens her arms to the poor
and extends her hands to the needy."
"She is clothed with strength and dignity;
she can laugh at the days to come".
"She speaks with wisdom,
and faithful instruction is on her tongue." –
Proverbs 31:20, 25-26

laughWhat I'm Excited About:

  • To glorify God, to get to know Him in new ways, and to share God
  • To see God work and to be working for Him full-time
  • To share Christ through support-raising
  • To help others
  • To experience true fellowship and unity with my team
  • To meet to people, cultures, and countries
  • To be able to try to speak Spanish
  • To personally grow and change
  • To hopefully become less materialistic
  • To go on an adventure
  • To know that God has a plan and good works for me to do
  • To experience the warmer weather of the countries and to miss the Minnesota winter for 1 year 😉

indecisionWhat I'm Concerned About:

  • That something really bad will happen to my family or myself while I’m away/before I go
  • For the health of my family while I'm gone and for my health on the race
  • That my mom will worry about me so much
  • That I'll miss everyone and everything back at home a lot or that they will miss me
  • That I may feel bitter if people don't support me financially or that many people won't want to
  • That it'll be super duper hot in some countries
  • That team relationships will be hard
  • That I won't be able to sleep well at night because of being afraid when sleeping in a tent or something
  • That I won't know the right Scriptures to say or that I won't be able to communicate well due to language barriers
  • That I'll be missing my sister's college grad ceremony
  • That it will be a little too late to get a teaching job once I come back

Well the "Excited" list is 1 bullet point longer than the "Concerned" list, so that's good! I know that God is my protector, strength, and provider. I'll just have to be praying, and if you, dear reader ;-), would like to pray as well, I'd super appreciate that!
