Fundraising is humbling, to come to a place where you have to rely on the Lord and trust that He will use others in the process…
Yet this is what the Lord desires of us…total and utter dependence on Him.
In Exodus 16 we are told of the Israelites wondering in the wilderness, they grumbled and were asking for Food to meet their needs. Moses tells them that God would provide bread from heaven, when it comes the people call it manna meaning “what is it”.
The people are told that in the morning it will be on the ground to gather and not to store it up, the people don’t listen and in the morning the manna spoils. The only exception is for the Sabbath where they are told to store up manna so they can rest on the Sabbath.

So what am I saying…
Fundraising for me has been like manna, when I obey the Lord he meets the next days need.
I can’t store this up or use my own strength…just like manna spoils…
Yet there are times of rest, where God says its okay to spend time with Him and unplug, that is my Sabbath… Where God gives me that extra day of provision.
There are times where I wish I could have one massive fundraiser and be done, yet what I’m learning is that it’s not about me, fundraising events, or idea’s, or any need I have. It’s about people and including them in the Journey, so many great relationships to build and doors to be opened in this process…
