Dear family, friends and followers.
I have had many questions regarding my fundraising deadlines, so I will share them with you here.
I am required to raise:
$3000 by September 28th, 2013 – my dad's birthday actually.
$6500 on December 18th, 2013.
$9500 by April 1st, 2014.
$13,500 on July 1st, 2014 to be fully funded. With the new insurance this amount will look larger, but my father is already taking care of my insurance, so the actually amount I need to raise is the same .
This means, if you are so graciously supporting me monthly, please schedule your months accordingly so as to not surpass my final deadline six months in.
With all this said, I am worried about fundraising. The last fundraising I ever had to do involved selling cookies in a cute sash. Finances have also been a strong-hold in my life God claimed victory of in January before I joined The World Race and became overwhelmed again.
However, I have a few ideas. There are five months before my departure on The World Race, so I've come up with an idea for each month. Please share your thoughts.
Idea 1 (August): Host a donation based yard sale. Have an old side table that is taking up space? Or too many pans in your cupboard collecting dust? I will take them off your hands to include in a donation based yard sale to raise money for this journey.
Idea 2 (September): I will offer my muscles and creativity to spruce up your yard for all your fall family festivities. (Mowing, weeding, hauling, what's on your honey-do-list?).
Idea 3 (October): Host a Fall Ball. This will not be your typical ball…classical dance lessons will come with your ticket!
Idea 4 (November): Offer my services as a photographer for family photo shoots. Perfect for your Christmas cards!
Idea 5 (December): I will decorate your house for the holidays (including hanging lights!). I'm known for my Christmas design that makes any cold evening feel cozy.
Bonus Idea (Any month): Host a Gluten Free Fundraiser. I will bake up some awesome treats you won't feel so guilty about indulging in. You can take them to a bridal shower, a baby shower, a birthday, a Halloween party, Thanksgiving, or just leave them out for Santa!)
Again, I would love your thoughts, your prayers, your encouragement and any further ideas.
Love, Isa.
