[John 15:13]
Jesus somehow…
…and delights in reminding His beloved how radical and outrageous His perfect love is…
…called Himself “meek and gentle”…
The day before launch, Friday to be exact, Jesus continuously showed me the angles. He was showing me the angles of how He sees me both through snippets of visions, His word and affirmation coming through others. He was showing me His point of view.
It was unnerving. I was literally receiving blitz visions of myself, as if I was watching myself through surveillance video throughout the day. He was revealing to me not just how He is always looking upon me, but that He is in fact always mindful of me.
My day during this launch phase has typically consisted of constant occasion for prayer, worship, serving others, sharing the Word, teaching others about Jesus in my life, proclaiming freedom over my co-missionaries and preaching the Gospel to people in my surrounding. My day starts early and ends late, just the way I like it. The in between moments are simply filled with time reading my bible and communing with the Lord.
I said “Thanks Jesus, for giving me this most amazing opportunity and job assignment! I love my life. I love my schedule. I love my job. I love ministering to Your heart.”
Later on, I was feeling exhilarated and simultaneously peaceful, when I asked my team leader, “Does this feel like a job to you?”
She thought for a brief moment and replied “No.”
During the end of our evening session, I sat with my back against a wall, eyes closed and head tilted up with my hands clasped in prayer. I listened intently as worship music with spoken word began to wash over me…"Inheritance" by Jonathan David Hesler (featured below)
…because I love you, because I love, because I love you, because I love you, because I love you, because I love you…
…and I will love you outrageously all the days of your life.
The words broke me…
Shattered me…
Turned me inside out and upside down.
My tears poured forth with the swells of the violin melody and my sobs were short gasps punctuated by piano key rhythms.
My name is Imelda.
Job title: the Beloved.
