On Thursday night during worship I heard God speak. He doesn’t want me to be as reserved and rebellious as I’ve been. He doesn’t want me to stray away from things just because I don’t understand them. He wants me to trust him through the unknown. He wants me to want him – not be tricked into following him. Then the word fasting crossed my mind. “No, not on my day off,” I whined. But still I fasted. Michelle, Emily, Chelsea and Robin joined me (God had spoken to them as well). When we were really hungry we prayed together. At midnight Emily and Chels and I broke our fast. I ate a cup of noodles – what a treat! It’s still funny to me that I fasted. All signs point to yes, I’m changing. And what a wonderful place to be.
