I fly out of L.A. tonight for New Zealand!!! These past few days have been unreal…I’ve never been to L.A. and I wanted to see more than the inside of LAX so my friend from college, Michaela, offered to let Kendall, Carl, and I stay at her place and take us around for a few days! I feel like I’m already in a different country. L.A. is a little different than the village I grew up in ha ha.
What a perfect day might look like…perfect weather, great food, awesome beaches, celeb searching, window shopping, and the best company!

You can’t see it, but that white dot in the mountains is the Hollywood sign!
We went to Hollywood Blvd and the Chinese Theater where the hand and feet prints are!
It’s crazy to look at the expensive stores and then think that this year I’m going to see the poorest of poor. It’s kind of sad. People are so caught up in their appearance, cars, and lables. It’s not only sad because many rich people spend more on their pets than they do people. It’s also sad because you can see the rich people longing for something. They think they have everything in the world, but they have nothing if they don’t have Jesus as their savior. I didn’t dwell on those thoughts because what I’ve come to realize is there is always going to be people in poverty and people who are filthy rich. Many times their two worlds never collide, but that’s life. I strive to change what I can and I have to let go the things I can’t otherwise it’s paralyzing. You may think this is foolish, but this year I set out to change the world even if it’s just one person’s world…
What a way to start the New Year and the World Race!
