One of the BEST parts about preparing for the World Race is visiting Apex House Churches (HC). Kristen Paulick (a wonderful fellow Jan World Racer, friend, accountability partner, encourager, etc…) and I are going to HCs and sharing with them what God is doing around the world and how they can partner with us!
Each HC is very unique, but always welcoming. I enjoy them all! I love meeting people and truly want them to join us as we go to each country so that they may be encouraged, blessed, and excited about missions!
TRUE STORY!
I was visiting a HC last week. I was running late…not your normal 15 mins late, but 1hr late!!! I get lost really easy and on occasion I don’t give myself enough time…I called them to apologize and they said “No problem, we’ll see you when you get here.” That made me feel a little better, but still my heart was racing b/c I think it is very rude to be late.
Finally I get there. My heart is still racing, but right away I felt like I was a part of their HC! They were so friendly and they made food from around the world in honor of me! How sweet! I could immediately tell this was going to be a good night.
We all went in the family room and I presented some WR videos and talked about the mission trip. They had lots of questions and at the end they gathered around me and each of them prayed for me. I was so blessed to be a part of their HC.
Later that night, a young couple prayed… if I was suppose to go that God would provide…the next morning his company went around and picked up trash and he found $100 on the ground and is donating it for my trip!!! Wow, it’s amazing how God works! This not only gets me closer to my $16,800 goal, but it reconfirms to me that God really wants me to go on the Jan WR 2010 trip!!!
