A lot can happen in 3 weeks on the World Race particularly the last 3. I’ve been in Uganda, Kenya, Dubai, London, Ireland, and Ukraine during these 21 days. We spent 8 days camping in Dublin and now that we are in the Ukraine we have slept in 4 different cities in the past 7 days. We are officially on the move. On Monday, we are moving to another location for two weeks and then we will leave for another country. Life has been busy. I also celebrated my birthday with a Ukrainian party thrown by our hosts who I had known for 24 hours-talk about great hospitality.
We spent 4 days at a conference just for World Racers in Dublin where I was spiritually re-engergized, challenged to change the world and started to practically think about what’s next for me. I toured a castle and visited Dublin Bay. After leaving Ireland, we arrived in Kiev Ukraine and had a day delay before moving on. During this day, a racer and I were treated to a personal tour of the city by a kind angel who had a few hours to spare. Next, we traveled by train to Odessa Ukraine where we are “doing ministry” this month. But actually, we are not spending much time in Odessa, which is a shame because our home base is 5 minutes walk from the beach on the Black Sea. We went to a nearby village for 3 days to do ministry. We returned and the same day left for another village for 3 days. We have 4 days in Odessa this week and then will spend the next 2 weeks working in the eastern part of Ukraine.
In the two villages we did a youth event in the forest, preached two church services, and did 2 days of door to door evangelism and surveying the spiritual receptivity of a neighboring village with no church at all. Life is flying by faster right now than any other time this year. At this writing I have just a couple days over 2 months remaining and I know it
will be over in a flash. What am I going to do next? That is something I don’t want to worry about, but know I have to start thinking and praying about. Please join me in asking God what’s next if you are praying for me.
