Last month, we were in Thailand! It’s crazy to think that we’re currently in month 10 of the Race.

Anyway, last month we worked with a phenomenal organization called Abba House.

Abba House has easily been one of my favorite ministries that we have had the opportunity to work with. Abba House is a home for girls who are at risk of being exploited and a home for boys who were homeless, were exploited, etc.

When we were at Abba House, we served in a lot of different facets.

We did a Bible study with 3 of the older boys who lived at Abba House, one who worked on staff. We taught English to those same boys, and to three girls who worked at Abba House. The two I taught English to were Kety and Samat. Christian and I taught them together for the first two weeks, and then I taught them the last week alone. They are incredible and I firmly believe the Lord has incredible plans for their lives.

At night, we would teach the girls who lived at Abba House english for about an hour except on Wednesday nights. My girls for class were great too! Their names are Jaja, Pim, and Noot! On Wednesday nights, we would have Bible study (basically youth group) with the girls. We would play games, they would do worship, and we would share a message.

Kirsten shared our first week about forgiveness, Rick shared in week two about Jonah and what is your Nineveh, and I shared in week three about the power of your words.

One day a week, we would go and do an outreach.

During our first week, we went to a prison and handed out Bibles to families while they were waiting to visit their loved ones. We had the greatest opportunity to share the love of Christ with them. Rick and I met a man from Sweden and Rick asked him to take two Bibles back to a boys home and a girls home in His village. We met a few others as well.

Our second week, we went to a drug rehab facility for teens. The Abba House staff did worship, we taught a few games, Christian and Sara shared testimonies and Tanner brought the message.

And our last week, we went to a girls’ detention center. The Abba House staff did worship, Tanner and Rick did games, Kirsten shared a testimony, and I delivered a message about finding your identity in Christ.

Another area of ministry we had a part in was on Saturdays. Abba House had a connection with a local radio station where they got one hour a week to share whatever they wanted. The coolest part: this was a Buddhist radio station.

So every week, they get to share Jesus! Rick and Tanner shared the first Saturday, and Kirsten and Christian shared the second!

It was an incredible month, and I’m so grateful that I got to spend it in a phenomenal ministry with and amazing team.
