This month, I have been with an all girls team. All of the girls from the two co-ed teams were put together this month, and together, we formed Uncharted Waters. We have had the wonderful opportunity to be a part of two incredible ministries.

The first ministry we had the privilege of being with is Overflow Guesthouse/Hostel. Their vision is to refresh their guests, the missionary community (including future World Race squads), and local partners in the greater Siem Reap area. They strive to bring Christ to this community and its visitors by building relationships.

I have absolutely loved being a part of this ministry. I can’t help but get excited about what the Lord is doing in Cambodia, and I genuinely believe that the Lord wants to start a lot of His work here.

I hear the vision of the staff, and I can’t explain to you in words what the Lord does in my heart and spirit. While our team was here at the beginning of the month, some people caulked the pool, some transformed an office/storage space into a prayer room, and while still others cleaned cement off of the ground.

This may not seem like much, but through all of these small things and seemingly random jobs, we were enabled to build relationships with the incredible staff here.

At night, we would go out into Siem Reap in groups and we would ask the Lord what He wanted to do and who He wanted us to speak to. Whether it was people selling themselves, people paying for those services, or vendors who are ignored constantly, God allowed us to minister to these people with the leading and prompting of the Overflow staff.

I knew on day one that I wanted to take advantage of one of our squad’s give platforms. Every World Race squad is given two opportunities to use what is called a crowd-funder. A crowd-funder is a fundraiser that AIM basically slaps their name on, puts it up on their website, and gives people a tax-deductible incentive.

Why are we using a crowd-funder for Overflow?
They have an incredible open rooftop area where you can watch the sun rise and the sunset, and it would be honestly incredible for a gathering space. Their current goal is to renovate this space in order to better host teams, church services, and meetings and a place to serve abused women and impoverished locals.

We’ve already purchased seating. We need a covering now to block rain during monsoon season and the sun, and also we want to make it a more aesthetically pleasing space.

Our team genuinely believes in the vision at Overflow and we hope you can now see why. If you want to join us in prayer and financially support Overflow, you can make a tax-deductible donation at http://give.adventures.org/campaign.asp?campaignid=1118

We have two days left to raise $1800, will you prayerfully consider donating and bless this incredible ministry?
