This past year. WOW. If you’ve kept up with my blog this year you’ll understand how this past year has left me almost speechless.
After all of that what could God possibly have for me next?! Let me just say the Lord had a plan rolling even when I was unaware of it; a plan that has some of my heart’s desire at the center of it!
Back in April when my team was in Swaziland, Africa, my friend Joe asked, “If you could be a part of any ministry you wanted next month what would it be?” This is a tough question, I love to work with so many different types of people. My final decision that wasn’t hard to make was Young Life.
I was a Young Life leader for two years before I left to go on The World Race and it was one of the hardest things to leave behind when I left the country. The high school girls I’d become friends with that are still in high school working through some extremely difficult personal and family circumstances made my heart drop to leave them knowing I was the only Christian influence in their life. I left knowing and trusting God would take care of them. By keeping in touch with most of them I know God has been taking care of them.
After stating what ministry I’d prefer to be doing in Swaziland two months later in Macedonia I stumbled across what God has set out for me to do this upcoming year. In June I applied to intern with Young Life at one of their domestic camps in Arizona; Lost Canyon. The Lord said YES so here I am resting and rejuvenating before leaving in January 2016 for the newest adventure the Father has set out before me. Lost Canyon is nestled in northern Arizona in the town of Williams, closest to Flagstaff. I will be living with 6 other interns working in various areas of the camp throughout 2016.
This past year on the Race the Lord has asked me to do so many things and prove His love is still in action!
[This included, and most definitely isn’t limited to, playing futbol with seniors in Guatemala, visiting incarcerated women in Nicaragua, teaching Filipino children how to swim in Manila, teaching english to 2nd and 7th graders at a Buddhist school in Thailand, doing physical therapy with Cambodian children that were orphaned and have cerebral palsy, building a school in the foothills of the Himalayas in Nepal, putting together a Vacation Bible School for special needs orphans in India, teaching English to preschoolers in Swaziland and Botswana, playing Apples to Apples with Albanian teenagers to help them learn English, and finding new Churches and ministry contacts for future World Race teams in Slovakia.]
Something I am asking you all for is prayer. I will be experiencing something so different than anything I’ve ever done and I would so appreciate prayers for safety, courage, strength, and humility. All of your prayers throughout the Race kept me going and kept me safe, even when I didn’t know it! I will be encountering so many high school students, special needs students, teen moms and babies, and international students who don’t even know Christ as their savior yet. Prayers for our work being fruitful and life change for every person that sets foot on our grounds is so appreciated!
More info about the whole year will be coming soon! What I’ll be doing, ways you can join in on bringing the gospel to these teenagers, and other fun announcements!

John 1:39
He said to them, “Come and you will see.” So they came and saw where he was staying, and they stayed with him that day…”
I will always be seeking to go and see what the Lord has, to see, experience, and sit with my Father. I pray you do as well.
