If you are at all familiar with young life camping then you will have heard the term “its the best week of your life!” Well guys I found that in an unexpected place this last week a training camp!
Training camp was a radical experience that pushed me out of my comfort zone and taught me so much. Going into camp I did not think it was going to be that big of a struggle because I am physically fit, and felt like I was in a comfortable place in my faith with God. But I learned more than anything that week that God does not want our relationship with him to be comfortable and easy, No he wants it to be hard and for us to struggle because then we can lean into him all the more! God shattered my comfort zone into a million little pieces this last week and brought me even closer to him and the Holy Spirit.
During training camp I took bucket showers, I ate tiny portions of foreign food, I listened to a lot of deep seminars (in which I battled drowsiness), I slept on a bus with 40 other people, I danced until I was dripping sweat, and I grew closer in my relationship with our forgotten God the Holy Spirit! Never before have I had the chance to see the Holy Spirit move through me and my friends like I did in the WR training camp. It really expandend my bubble of knowledge on God and it was refreshing to get to experience my faith in a new way. The way we worshipped God was very different that week to what I am used to, but that change made me feel closer to God than I had in a while.
Near the end of the week I got to learn 2 very exciting things that I had been waiting so long to find out!
They were where we are going – Guatemala, Thailand, Botswana!
And who I will be experiencing this amazing journey with. I am so excited to say that I could not be happier with the team of hooligans God chose for me to be with! At first I was a little hesitant about our team, but after spending just a few hours with them and making awesome memories it was clear that God placed us together for a reason. I am so jazzed to introduce to you guys team Geronimo!

Our first memories as a a team. Starting left we have Anna, then Megan, Sam, Gary (he is not on our team lol) Joshy, me, Mackenzie, and Grace!

Also I am so happy to tell you guys that I have fundraised $12,427.32 meaning I have $60.18 left to fundraise. I am soooo close to being fully funded!!!
Im on my way.
On the road to the Journey!
