Teams Zion and Hadassah have survived week one of church planting. And not just survived-THRIVED. It’s been a challenging, but beautiful week that has revealed more and more of God’s glory and LOVE to us.

Some of the not so good stuff? I sweat 24/7, have a pretty nasty heat rash going on, sleep restlessly through the hot nights, wake up with the rising of the sun to a body mark of sweat on my sleeping pad, spent all of Monday vomiting and having diarrhea (prayers for our teams much appreciated!). Some of the good stuff? Despite all of the challenges, I somehow STILL love what we are doing. While there are moments when I long for A/C, dry clothes, and an “easier” ministry, I know this is EXACTLY where God wants us this month.

It’s been incredible to go to people’s homes who have never heard of Jesus and to begin sharing the gospel. So many times this week we have begun speaking to a couple individuals and within a few minutes there is a crowd gathered, intently listening to the Word of God. One particular morning we were sitting in our house resting before ministry and group after group of people came to our home because they wanted to hear about Jesus. Seriously…how awesome is that?

We spend our nights going to different locations throughout the village to hold gospel meetings. People come out from their homes, sit down in the street, listen to stories about Jesus and his love for them, and receive prayer and HEALING. Here are just a few of the healings our teams have witnessed this week:

A woman who was stooped over able to stand up straight

A man with knee pain who walked with a cane able to drop the cane and walk PAIN FREE

A woman who had a heart attack and was numb on her right side regain feeling on her right side

It’s only been one week, and already we see Heaven come down. We see His kingdom expanding.

What’s most amazing?

We see people receiving a love they have never known before-a love that can only be given by Jesus.
