I could speak to you all day and share with you story after story of how faithful God was this year. So I made a list of one miracle/ lesson God did in each country. Even though there were a lot more! Enjoy, I hope these can be an encouragement for you!

Kolhapur, India– Before coming on the race I had a dream, it was a picture I have never seen before but found out this picture was in India. When I applied for the race there was one route out of 12 or more that had India on it at the time. So I knew that’s where I needed to go. When I got to India I went to go speak at a house church and on the wall was the exact painting I dreamt about before the race. This lady painted this picture!! It was nothing famous, just a painting!! That was enough confirmation from God that I was supposed to be there!

Kathmandu, Nepal– In teams we prayed about who God wanted us to meet that day. So God would gave me words such as: Hindu Temple, crazy hair, short, female. As our team went out to try to find our treasures we ended up in a Hindu Temple. I saw the lady that was exactly described above she was roaming the temple begging for money to everyone she came in contact with except me. She approached me and started talking to me in Nepalese. She sat down beside me and we talked to each other even though we had no clue what each other were saying. But God was the interpreter and she told me she fell and hurt her hand. She pushed her hand in front of me and I got to pray over her. Allow God to use you daily, allow him to show you people to come in contact with to bless!

Chiang Mai, Thailand– God had been teaching me to be bold as a lion. We as Christians should be confident in ourselves because Christ lives within us. If you are as bold as a lion you go to battle confidently and not fearful or hesitant. Proverbs 28:1- “The wicked flee though no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion”.

Paske, Laos– God raised me up as a Team Leader this month and it made me super uncomfortable along with a lot of doubt rose up in me. I never wanted to let my team fail because of me. But He showed me that being put in uncomfortable places is were we grow the most.

(These guys were in a English class Allie and I taught)

Siem Reap, Cambodia– God taught me about discipline. “For the moment all discipline seems painful rather then pleasant but alter yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it”- Hebrews 12:11

Hanoi, Vietnam– God continued to show me that He is capable of giving us gifts that we didn’t even know we had. He is a giver. He loves to flower us with gifts if we proceed to obey Him. I once had no desire to play instruments but God put the desire in my heart and here I am learning how to guitar even if I don’t know a single musical note.

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia– I hiked Bukit Tabur, which is the world’s largest quartz ridge. From this God taught me by conquering this mountain it’s like conquering mountains in our own lives. We are going to come across hardships but we may not ever know what they are. But if we knew ahead of time would we want to keep walking forward or would we be to scared to fight them? “He will never give us more then we can bear”- 1 Corinthians 10:1

(This was the easy part of the mountain!..)

Philippines– I have always felt super loved and cared for by all our contacts. But this month our contact seemed to go over the top! They were so hospitable and inviting. The Asian culture is to invite you in and give and give to you. I want to invite people over even if I met them just once. I want to give to them until they are satisfied and love on them continuously by showing how much God loves us.

Mongolia- God taught me and showed me what depending on Him looks like. Once you know what God is telling you to do it’s not dependence anymore. It may not all make sense but don’t seek understanding. Yes- seek faith and just trust Him!

China- God used me to heal two people at a park in a closed country!! Nothing is impossible when God is on your side.

South Korea- 1 Kings 19:11-13 “The Lord said, “Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of the Lord, for the Lord is about to pass by.” Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains apart….He was not in the wind nor the earthquake, nor the fire. After the fire came a gentle whisper. Elijah heard it and he pulled his cloak over his face.” (Revised) We don’t always need a big sign in life directing us where to go next. Or have an audible voice come to us and tell us what do to. Sometimes God speaks to us in the stillness and quietness of situations. We can all hear Gods voice, always be listening, and ready for what He has to say!

Blessings,

Heidi 🙂
