ok so! let me tell you about my newest adventure!! I have always had a heart for people, the nations, and always up for adventure. I remember when I was eight wanting to save the world, not like a superhero but for Jesus (although i wouldnt be mad about a cape). what that looks like is always changing but the reason has always been the same.
in september im setting out on the world race. which, disclaimer, i will not be actually racing anyone. i'll be traveling with a team (sept route three) to 11 countries over the course of 11 months (http://www.theworldrace.org/?tab=about ). joining in with the local communities in ministry and loving like Jesus. the specifics of that will constantly look different. it sounds like the dream to me, but it also doesnt make a lot of sense to some people. sometimes our hearts embrace that which our head can't.
how did I come to choose to do this you ask? i used to get caught up on Gods will and figuring out what that was for me and what it looked like. one of the most liberating discoveries Ive had is that when you're seeking after God and knowing and loving God is the greatest thing you could imagine, your dreams and desires will align with his will. talk about freedom. I mean you're born and you die and you can do whatever you want in between and whether you let society dictate that or break free. I desire to love and heal and adventure for the kingdom. so thats what im doing.
