I am ecstatic right now. Why? Well, as of yesterday, I am a fully funded World Racer.
Yes, you read that right… I know, it’s hard to believe.
After sitting down and calculating the funds that I have as well as the monthly supporter’s commitments, I figured out I only had a little ways to go to reach full funding. I shared the number I came out with with one of my good friends, and she immediately said, “Alright, you’re fully funded. I will cap that off.”
WHAT?! Who does that. It was only a few nights ago that my mom was telling me she had felt the Lord prompt her to pray for full funding by the time fall semester starts back up. That sounded crazy to me. God had asked me to pray that prayer but for a later date… a 4 months later date: January 1, 2015. I mean, how in the world could I get fully funded only 4 months from my acceptance date? That sounded a bit crazy to me. I think I responded to my mom something along the lines of, “Yea. Well, you just keep praying that mom.” Hahaha! I didn’t believe that would really happen.
Enter a few days later when I am sitting there on the verge of tears because I was just told that I am fully funded and it has only taken 2.5 months!
2.5 months, folks! I wish I could have gotten my reaction on camera because as soon as I hung up the phone from talking to my friend I started dancing all around, laughing, and clapping my hands like a giddy 3 year old. God is overwhelmingly incredible. He has blessed my efforts and hard work in fundraising, and I am so grateful to everyone who has given to this mission. I know, without a doubt, that this is God working his glory into every nook and cranny of this crazy adventure that is the World Race. Why else would he send me this kind of provision?!
One of my girl friends said that this is just God showing off. Everything is for his glory. Every penny raised, every prayer prayed, every anxious thought brought to peace, every clap of my hands, every giddy dance I dance. He uses it all for his glory. I love when he shows off!
And every created thing which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all things in them, I heard saying, “To Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, be blessing and honor and glory and dominion forever and ever.” – Revelation 5:13
