The “struggle is real” is something racer often say while they are traveling to 11 countries doing missions work. It really is a true statement so often. As we, 7 girls, are sleeping in a hot 8×8 room on the cement floor the struggle to sleep is real. As we go to the same restaurant, mama spicy, for 3 meals a day many days the struggle is real to find food that won’t lite your mouth on fire. The struggle is real with squatty potties.

But then seeing homes washed away by the flood our struggle seems so trivial. Hearing the stories of Christians who have been persecuted for their faith, being disowned by family or beaten by nonbelievers makes me think, what struggles?

Lord, I want to have your perspective of my “struggles”. Let me count my blessings, not my struggles. I’m thankful to have been called to go and spread your love, no matter the conditions.
