My life has been filled with change this summer. Normally change scares me and I shy away from it, but all of the changes have me excited for the journey to come!
At training camp many of my standards changed. I realized I packed WAY too much and as a result I’ve realized I have too much when there are so many people in need.
As I have been packing up my house, I have been taking better inventory of my “stuff”. I went through my clothes for a second time because the first time was before training camp and I thought I still needed most of them. The second time around I downsized my closet to less than 1/3 of what it was. Looking at clothes seems easy compared to the change God is wanting to do in me, to simplify my life and make Him more of a focus.
While at training camp we learn our route has changed. We are no longer going to Guatemala or Japan. Instead we will be going to Panama and Malaysia. Japan was one of the countries I was really excited about going to, but I know God has orchestrated our route change and needs us in Malaysia ministering.
Yesterday, we found out our launch date 🙂 I was expecting September 1, but I get a couple extra days at home. I have to be in Atlanta September 6 for launch then iSquad will be heading to Panama for our first country. So, things got real yesterday and there were many butterflies fluttering in my tummy.
I’m so excited for the journey ahead, even in the mist of changes. Don’t forget to cling to God during changes, even if we may not understand why things are changing. Remember we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
