Back by popular demand- the unscripted post.
We have been in Pula, Croatia since Monday. We are still looking for potential partners for future World Race teams.
It has been really cool to be here, there is an awesome community of believers that we have been able to get plugged into and have been able to learn about the things that this community is doing to further the kingdom. We have learned about their efforts with the youth of the city, the orphans of the region, their foster care programs, they do some street evangelism and such. Just a lot of different things.
This is a beautiful city right on the Adriatic Sea. We have been working hard to learn Croatian terms. In order to establish some form of partnership with the body here we have been working alongside them. We helped to clean out a room for the foster kids to come and play. That was a lot of fun for us. That is right we are mature young people who would never walk into a child’s play room and grow giddy with joy and immediately put on the clown hat. We also would never insist that once all the work is done we be allowed to have a tea party with “friends” (stuffed animals) and snacks. That sort of thing never happens on the World Race.
We also have been working in people’s homes helping to pull weeds or organize sheds. As well as going out with the people of the church into the city to pray for the city and invite people to the different services offered throughout the week.
This has also been a good time for us as we were mixed up again as far as teams go, so we are getting to know more people on our squad.
Be praying for us as we are still listening for the Lord to reveal new areas of Croatia for us to go to and find His work for future teams. Also, so you know I am growing a lot in knowing what it means to find legitimacy in my daughtership alone, not in any gift that I have or thing I can do, but only because I am a daughter of the most high King and he wants me to be His. So be praying for me in that.
