When I signed up for the race I remember looking at the race route to see where I would be for my birthday…I wondered what I would be doing and who I would get to celebrate with. Originally on my birthday we were going to be in our ATL Asia country, then it changed and we were going to be in Guatemala, then it changed again and I was blessed to be able to celebrate it here in El Salvador with some of my favorite people!
My day entailed:
Church in Spanish
Taking the girls out to a farm
Playing some soccer and riding a horse
Sweet cards from some amazing girls (team and some of the girls here)
Dinner out with my team…ultimately, I had a wonderful birthday. When I imagined my birthday on the race I don’t think I imagined nearly as much joy in my heart as I’ve had here in El Salvador!
