A lot has been going on lately…so much that I don’t quite know where to begin…
I’m not the one to speak up and say, this girl is deaf and mute, we need to pray for healing. I’m not the one to say I need to stay back from our scheduled ministry to pray. I don’t pick up on the spiritual realm. I don’t walk out of prayers with the congregation to stand outside of the church and worship God through new songs…just singing over the church building and people inside. I don’t know how to eloquently answer questions posed by a Muslim woman about who God is and how Christ came to be…that’s just NOT me! With each of these situations in the past week I’ve found myself telling my team…that’s not me, I don’t do these things!! And yet, apparently I do…because God’s showing me who I really am and apparently I’m a lot of things that I never knew before!
~Oh and fun fact…I spent this morning writing my first sermon, yep, I’ll be preaching tomorrow morning in a true African church service (meaning, I’ll be talking for 1 of the 5 hours of the service =D) yea ummm we’ll see what God will do!!!
I find it ironic that all of this is taking place in Uganda, thanks God…you know how much I appreciate irony! =)
Alright, so a week in and so far I’ve raised $296. I have some amazing teammates that are helping me out! If you haven’t seen their blogs you can check them out here: Carin’s Halloween Challenge and Aly
I have 2 weeks left to raise $1,604 before I’ll be sent home to continue with support raising.
