This past weekend I took some time off work and headed to Chattanooga for the weekend. I was just excited to see some of my friends and go back home (or at least it was home for 4 years). I had no set plans, just going to stay with one of my best friends and see others while I was in town. I didn’t realize how much I needed the weekend away though…
With everything going on right now…school, internship, work, and now preparing for the World Race, I just needed to get away and re-energize. It’s funny how God always knows what we need, and when we let Him…He gives us exactly that.
I had a wonderful weekend catching up with friends and sharing what God has been doing in my life. I was able to hear about their lives and all that I’ve missed in the passed few months. I was able to relax and not stress out about all that needs to be done. And most importantly, I was able to worship with dear friends that I miss. I forgot how much I miss my church family there and their never ending support. I was encouraged by their words and their willingness to do whatever they can. I gladly accepted their prayers and their help in spreading the word about what God is having me do. I was humbled by their giving nature and encouraged yet again that God will provide. I didn’t realize how much I was in need of their encouragement until it came… Thank you God for providing exactly what I needed!
