Hello friends! We just had team changes at the end of last month and our new team is serving in southeast India. We flew in to Hyderabad for ministry orientation and then took another 9 hour bus ride to a city near the coast. We are serving with a children’s home this month for orphans that have severe disabilities. A lot of the children are in wheelchairs and have very little mobility. There’s a group of boys and two groups of girls at the home. There is still a lot of hope for some of the kids to gain strength and mobility in the future. Next week we will be taking some of the older children on field trips to the beach, park, etc. The kids have caregivers and volunteers that come in and help take care of their needs while also helping them with development. I will be posting some pictures of the kids later, but I can’t show anything above their nose in the pictures on my blog or social media. The director of the preschool wants us to take some good pictures of the kid in the next couple of weeks for their future adopted family’s to have of them. This month we will also be advocating for the children to receive sponsorships.

India is a country in the 10/40 window of Asia. It is the most populated country in the world with 1.2 billion people. A very small percentage of people are Christian here. India is also a country with a very high poverty rate.

This month is shaping up to be a lot harder than previous months. I’m on an all girls team so it is hard for us to go out to do anything in the nearby town because of safety concerns. I’m trying to remain steadfast through the trials of this month, so I’m praying for a lot of grace. After this month we will be almost halfway finished with the race. It’s been a fast four and a half months and I look forward to seeing what God wants to teach me the second half of the race.

Here are a few pictures of India so far!

Thank you for checking in for an update. Your prayers and support are helping me share the love of Jesus in some of the most unreached places in the world. I currently still need to raise around $4,000 to be able to continue and finish the race. My final deadline was December 31st, but I’m allowed a grace period to get the remaining money in. If you or anyone you know would like to give a financial gift, you can go to my blog and click the support me tab.
