I have a announcement that I want to share with my family, friends and supporters. I will be leaving for the World Race later next year instead of January like originally planned. After meeting my first fundraising deadline, I had an overwhelming lack of peace about the route I was on. When I signed up for this journey I knew The Lord was calling me to Asia. He has given me a burden and love for this area of the world to know Him and for me to devote the rest of my life making this happen in some capacity (not sure what that looks like yet). With that being said, I will be going on all Asia route that launches later in 2015. Our squad will travel to the 10/40 window to serve and love where the largest number of unreached people groups remain. Most people in this area of the world have never heard the name of Jesus. This is also an area where about 85% of the population live in poverty. I have peace that this is where He’s leading me even though it seems far away at this time.

These are the countries in Asia that me and my squad will be serving in next year:

India

Nepal

Thailand

Laos

Cambodia

Vietnam

Malaysia

Philippines

Japan

Mongolia

China

I still need around half of the money to be fully funded when I launch. Thank you so much to all of my supporters, family and friends for all the prayers and financial support. It has been incredible to watch The Lord provide. People I don’t even know have come alongside me to support me and help expand God’s kingdom. When I first knew God was calling me to the mission field I honestly doubted the fundraising process and what it would entail, but He has been faithful every step of the way.

God has been teaching me so much in this season of preparation. One of the biggest things I’m learning is to put all of my hope in Him. The reality is that there are so many uncertainties in this life but God is the same yesterday, today and forever. We never have to fear the future if our hope is anchored in Christ and the word of God. Before I could even say yes to this trip I first had to say no to my plans and will. I trust that His plans are far better and will have an eternal impact outlasting all of the temporal things in this life.

If you want to know what I will be doing in this next season leading up to launch, I plan to get more involved with inner city outreach at church and I will continue advocating for children through Compassion International. I’m also completing some online courses through Global Frontier Missions missionary training program that will help me be better prepared for cross cultural missions.
