Hi everyone! I’m Heather! I am so excited about the journey God has called me to next year.
Here is some background information to help you get to know me a little better!
I was born and raised in a small, scenic town in Northeast Alabama called Fort Payne
I am the oldest child and I have a younger sister, Brittany, who lives in Washington DC
I graduated from the University of Alabama in 2008 & University of Alabama at Birmingham this year
I can’t live without coffee (Please don’t talk to me in the morning until I’ve had at least two cups)
I’m a night owl and not a morning person
I’ve always enjoyed learning about human behavior/psychology and recently completed an internship doing psychotherapy/counseling
I’m captivated by beauty in any form and see it as a characteristic of the Creator
Photography is my creative outlet and I love telling a story through picture
I love being able to live in a close driving distance to my family back in Fort Payne
My passions are refugee resettlement, child advocacy, poverty alleviation, and ending human trafficking.
I have a heart for missions and my hearts desire is to see people from every tribe, tongue and nation worship God and know him in a personal way!
Last and most importantly, I love my Lord & Savior Jesus Christ! He loved me at my darkest & set me free!
“For God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us”
-Romans 5:8
