HAITI

Wow! How quickly this year has flown by. The race is coming to an end and I will return home to the states in two weeks. Over the last few months I have spent a lot of time praying into where God was taking me after this chapter of the journey finished.  As I continued to pray about where to go next I didn’t feel God giving me a specific go here or go there, just a gentle reminder that He would use me wherever I just needed to make a decision. When the opportunity was presented to go to Haiti, I began praying into that decision specifically. After much prayer I decided this is what I needed to do. So on May 29, 2010 I will fly out to Haiti and spend a month there being His hands and feet.

The church body in Haiti is hurting.  Crying for help. We are their family and they need us. The body is broken. The earthquakes in Haiti only made a bigger mess of what already was a broken church body. Now the whole is just deeper. The wound more infected. They are hungry and thirsty. They are lost and confused. They are hopeless.  The darkness is overwhelming. This isn’t just about physically repairing the damage of the earthquake. The damage is so much deeper. They need love. His love and He has given me the opportunity to go and love.

I have know clue what God is going to do down there but I do know He is moving and rebuilding the church and Haiti. I know that I am apart of that church. My brothers and sisters are hurting and my family needs to be loved.

You can join me on this adventure to share God’s love. I need your support. Not every part of the body is called to go and physically support. That is where you step in. You can support me through prayer and encouragement. Without every part of the body functioning together the church will fall but if we unite and come together we as a church body can begin to rebuild what has been torn down.
