So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and
female he created them.

Genesis 1:27

When we are
born, we are born in the image of our parents; likewise when God created
creation, man and woman, he created us each in HIS
image. I’ve been reflecting on this a
lot!

I’m a child of
God. He created me in His image, and he
believes everything is good!

For the
majority of my life I’ve had self-esteem issues, and I’m learning to rest and
be content in who God created me to be. At our last debrief I got my third tattoo. I got this because for years I didn’t believe
I was beautiful, but this trip has taught me to believe that I am
beautiful. He created me in HIS image. And he loves me just the way that I am, His beautiful daughter!

Just yesterday
I went and got another tattoo. Another
one that resembles what God has done for me, he has Redeemed me. Dictonary.com [with a few adjustments]
defines what it means to redeem something:

re·deem [ri-deem]

-verb (used with object)

1. to buy or pay off

2. to buy back

3. to recover by payment or other satisfaction

4. to exchange for money or goods.

5. to convert (paper money) into specie.

6. to discharge or fulfill.

7. to make up for; make amends for; offset (some fault, shortcoming,
etc.)

8. to obtain the release or restoration of, as from captivity, by
paying a ransom.

9. Theology . to deliver from
sin and its consequences by means of a sacrifice offered for the sinner.

So I amRedeemed! By
the blood of the lamb my sin has been paid off,
and Jesus has bought me
back. His sacrifice on the cross was the
payment for
ALL sins and fulfilled the price for our sins. I will now walk in the Redemption God gave
me, and if I ever forget that he paid the price and
bought me back so I can
have eternal life all I have to do is look at my wrist and remember
ALL he has done for me, he
changed my life and I
NEVER want to go back to my old ways!
