So it’s been a while
since I’ve blogged. So much has happened
since then! I want to start by letting
everyone know what’s going on this month and the next couple months. This month my team and team Goodness Gracious
are in Hungary. We arrived via train to
Budapest, Hungary on Sunday after a 13 hour sleeper train. This sleeper train was much different than
out sleeper train to Moldova. This train
was nowhere near as hot but it also had NO beds. There were 6 seats to every
compartment/room. Just picture 6 girls
in a little room with ALL our stuff. It
was very tight!!
This month nothing
is set up for us, this is an ATL month, but not only is it an ATL month it is
also a pioneer month. The world race has
never been to Hungary. We’ve had to figure
everything out on our own. It’s
officially day 3. The first day, our
arrival day, we spent the day praying into and researching the cities we were
given by the world race staff. Once we
determined where we felt God was calling us we set up transportation. After our transportation arrived we rode
about 45 min to our city. Our driver
tried to help us find a place to stay, but with his help we had no luck. He dropped us off at a McDonald’s and we
began to pray about what we needed to do. Bambi, Paul, and myself set off to go look for Church’s. We had no luck in any of the churches. Mike and Denise went to one church where they
found a lady who spoke very limited English. She couldn’t help and let Mike and Denise go. As we were getting ready to head back to the
rest of the group this lady came running. She had a man who was on the phone with a Hotel. He said this was the cheapest Hotel in the
area, Mike and Paul went to go check it out while Denise, Bambi, and myself headed
back to McDonald’s. When Mike and Paul
returned they told us that they found something cheaper, a camp ground! Praise God we have a place to rest our heads! We’ve been given a great deal but are still
looking for something cheaper, possibly even free.
Day 2 was a catch up
day. We rested our bodies from the
limited sleep from travel day and explored the city a bit. Found Tesco and went shopping for food for
the week. We are eating on $3 a
day. Bambi, Ralph and I decided to
combine our money and cook together.
some contacts. Denise and I are sick so
we stayed back and Paul stayed with us. When they returned everyone was extremely
exhausted and we still have no contacts. Please pray that we can find some contacts that will be usefully to AIM
in the future. The men went out ATLing the other area of the city in hopes that we will find something.
of what we are currently doing. I will
keep everyone posted on what happens. Now for some every IMPORTANT information, the next 2 months will be
spent in closed countries. November in
Turkey and December in Israel. Please
refrain for sending me any e-mails that have anything to do with God and what
I’m doing. We do not want to cause any
problems for out contacts. With that
being said communication for the next 2 months will be VERY limited. Please know that I’m still thinking of you
all often.
Love you all!!
