7 things I have learned so far:
Each month, God has been teaching me a different theme. This is what I have learned in each country so far…
Month 1 in Thailand :: I learned how big God really is and how much I had been keeping Him in a box before. He is so powerful and mighty and nothing is too big or too small for Him. I realized I can pray for the smallest of things (that He guides my elephant’s steps so that it doesn’t fall off the cliff when we were elephant riding) and the biggest of things (keeping our plane safe as we fly for 12+ hours across the ocean.) God cares about everything!
Month 2 in Cambodia :: I learned all about forgiveness and how it actually sets the forgiver free. I believe this lesson literally changed the course of my race.
Month 3 in Vietnam :: I learned how the small things really matter, like holding a child and loving them makes a difference. Everything we do is worthwhile if it is done for the glory of God.
Month 4 in China :: I learned what pure joy in daily tasks feels like, what a wonderful feeling to have every day! I also learned how powerful prayer is.
Month 5 in Swaziland :: I learned how to jump in with two feet and love with everything I have, even if it’s only for a month. These two boys became the highlight of my day!
Month 6 Lesotho :: I learned that God is in every situation, you just have to choose to look harder for Him in some things.
Month 7 in South Africa :: This month I am learning that stillness before the Lord is essential. The quote “a lake that is never still cannot reflect anything” keeps coming to my mind. God wants quiet time with me, and this month He is getting it! 🙂
thanks for catching up! 🙂 internet is REALLY limited right now!
