At this point of the Race it is difficult not to think about what is coming next. One month from today I will be back in the US. That is really starting to sink in now. So many things about this past year seem so normal now.

What will life be like at home again?

To be completely honest, I can’t really answer that question. As of right now, I don’t know what I’ll be doing when I get back. I don’t know where I will work or live. I do know one thing though….it will be much different than what this last year has been. It will also be different from the years before that as well.

Right now the possibilities are endless. I could choose to move somewhere entirely new and start a whole new adventure. I could also move back to somewhere I’ve already lived before and begin with a fresh, new perspective.

Starting this new phase of life will be exciting and hard. Lately I have been reminded of a verse in Deuteronomy. Deuteronomy 31:8 states, “The Lord is the one who goes ahead of you; He will be with you. He will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.”

God has already planned what I will be doing when I get back. He has worked everything out for me. He knows my thoughts and my desires and has made some amazing plans. Therefore I will not fear what is to come, but cannonball into the unknown knowing that the Lord is there.

Thank you all for your prayers and support over the last year! I ask that you continue praying for us during our last month and in the months to follow. I have felt your prayers so much and I am very thankful for you all!

Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time, casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.

1 Peter 5:6-7

Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock.
