After a near perfect month at El Shaddai, part of me wonders what could ever top the ministry that we did in Swaziland!
Our last few days at El Shaddai were kind of a roller coaster. Because of all the political unrest that is happening in Mozambique my team wasn’t sure if we were even going to make it there for Month 3 of the Race. It’s still a little scary knowing that my team is going into a country that we’ve been told is so unsafe. Even though our flesh tends to have fear, we know that God has favor.
Team Ratsah is really excited for whatever God has planned in Mozambique. We met with our contact, Tienie, and he gave us the run down of what this month will be looking like.
Every morning we are having breakfast and devotion with our contact and his staff.
Following breakfast, the morning chores need to be done. This includes things like doing dishes, cleaning bathrooms, and filling water tanks so that we have access to water for the day.
Around 10 am my team will venture off for 2 hours each day to begin the process of building 2 mud huts. 1 hut will be for an elderly man and the other for a mentally disabled woman who is currently living in a tent.
Lunch: 12pm-3pm
After our graciously long lunch break some of of the team will go back to building mud huts and the others will tend to the garden.
At 5pm we are free to do whatever we please for the night.
Something that you all can be praying for specifically this month is unity for my team. I’m working on a blog about the struggle that my team has had, but I don’t know when I’ll be able to post it. Know that we are working on being a family and that we desire to love one another selflessly.
Only God knows what will happen this month. Hopefully I will be able to update everyone with how the month is going, but it sounds like we won’t have internet all month.
I’m still $3,000 away from being fully funded! If any of you feel led to partner with me financially, please do so! Your love, support, and prayer are greatly appreciated.
Love, Hayley
