On the World Race there is a special month set aside for God to move in big ways.
Welcome to ATL.

ATL is a month were you get to simply ask the Lord. He will provide you ministry, housing and food. It can be a bit of a stressful situation but God always provides.

Our ATL led us to a witch camp in Tindang, Ghana. You read that right. Witch camp.

People in Africa believe in witchcraft. If someone dies or something out of the ordinary happens people get accused of witchcraft. Once the person is accused they have a choice to go to a witch camp. Yes they have a choice to go to this camp but if they don’t go they will most likely be killed by people in their village.

Once the witch or wizard gets to the camp they must go through the cleansing process.

There is a shrine that the owner of the camp, the “priest”, has. You must sacrifice a chicken or something to the shrine. Once the sacrifice is complete you drink water from the shrine and your powers are taken away. This is the only way people can live in the camp. If they continue to practice witchcraft while living in the camp they believe the shrine will strike them dead.

When we got to the camp it defiantly wasn’t what I expected. They weren’t fenced in and there were men and children. Also the camp had close to 300+ people living there. According to the priest about 30 people come to the camp every year.

Our time in the witch camp was very short but we were very busy. The first evening we went around the village meeting women and talking to them about Jesus. One women gave her life to Christ and we even baptized her with the water from a water bottle.

The next morning we had a gathering for the women. We shared a message about how the world defines you one way but God does not look or even care what the world says about you. God loves you so much and that is your value, that is your identity and that is what you need to put your worth in.

After the message 27 men and women, “witches” and “wizards”, gave their lives to Christ. We got to pray with them and lead them into the loving arms of a good good father.

It was so amazing going to the witch camp for so many reasons but mostly because we got to love the forgotten. We didn’t get to stop at each hut but the reason we came to the camp spread. Seeds were planted. God is going to continue to water these people and some day in heaven I will get to dance with my bothers and sisters in Christ

We serve such an incredible God. He sent my team to a witch camp in Ghana to just to let the forgotten feel His everlasting love.

You are not forgotten. You are not worthless. You are valued and you are loved by the creator of the world.
