Whether you know me already or not, chances are I've never given you the "about me" spiel, so here goes nothin'….
My Career: For the past three years I have taught kindergarten in Chelsea, Alabama. God has given me a great love for kids and a passion for education.
My Heart: There are not many things I enjoy more than holding babies and praying for them.
My Story: I've claimed Christianity for as long as I could say "Christianity." But it took me 24 years to realize I was living as if God didn't exist. God rescued me from the world at age 24 and has radically transformed my life in the past year and a half.
Randomness: My first job, at age 15, was cashiering a party store and attending birthday parties as a professional clown's assistant. WHOA. Not many people know that. You are special. And probably a little jealous.
My Family: I have a wonderful family- two loving parents and a sweet older sister. I am blessed.
My Fear: Possums freak me out. And cold showers are right up there with possums. (Guess I bettter get used to that last one, huh!)
My Favorite Things: Coffee. Books. Nature. Music. Yoga (minus all the spiritual junk that is often associated with it)
I AM…..
in love with Jesus,
captivated by the gospel,
addicted to grace,
and broken for the lost.
My Missions Story:
It all started with a David Platt sermon in April of 2012. Through God's intricate web of circumstances, I found myself in my apartment at my computer watching a compelling T4G sermon entitled, "The Fuel of Death Defying Missions." It was during this sermon that God called me to the mission field.
In September, I will embark on this incredible journey known as the World Race. It is a journey to 11 countries in 11 months to serve "the least of these." A real and raw opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus, to be exposed to life outside of the American dream, to partner with ministries around the world who are making a real Kingdom difference. It will provide a chance for me to begin living and thinking beyond myself and step into what God has for me. I am honored that God has chosen to send me, and I pray that you will play a role in getting me there.
