Ask nearly anyone who knows me if I enjoy adventures and they will most likely smile, roll their eyes, pursue their lips, or say something along the lines of, "Do you actually know Hannah?"

So, here I am, writing 7 months later, to report that while I am mostly enjoying the adventure of living in the Washington, DC area, I have been missiong missional work. While DC is my home base now and I plan to continue to work in the States, I am stepping away for a few weeks in November to go to Nepal.

The plan is to take a 14-day trek to the base camp of Everest with my Dad (in part to pre-celebrate his 60th birthday.) We are also collecting tooth brushes and travel-size tooth pastes to give to the Nepali locals we meet in the villages on our way up. My tourist days are far over. I cannot help but long to love and care for others like Christ, be it Nepal or in my daily life in DC.

I am also proud to report that my sister, Abbey, will be volunteering at an orphange while we are hiking. My Dad may join her after we finish or work with Monks until December. While I would love to stay longer, I am looking forward to celebrating my friend Melanie as she weds the love of her life and best friend back in Nashville before returning to DC.

If anyone is interested in learning more or would like to donate money for me to buy the tooth brushes and paste (or send me either), feel free to let me know in the comments or send me an email at [email protected].

Always in Him,

Hannah
