As I sit on a couch in my friends' apartment in Nashville, listening to "Come Together" by the Beatles, occasionally picking up my knitting, preparing for a return party in an hour and a half, and brainstorming about this next chapter in my life, I cannot help but think that being a missionary (both abroad and at home) is going to be a part of my life into the indefinite future.

These thoughts have been circulating within me for years now, but especially now after this year's missional adventure. I am pleased and honored that God called me to love widows, encourage college and high school students, feed the hungry, play with children on 4 continents, and love like Him throughout the world, but I am even more pleased and honored that I not only have the CHOICE to do the SAME in the STATES, but I CHOOSE to.

So as I adjust, even though grocery stores, the television, commercialism, and large crowds overwhelm me, I am happy to say that I know what I was made for: to love like Christ.
