Last Day at King's College
I was a bit amxious about Saturday, our last day of ministry at King's College in Kampala. I packed up quickly and while our schedule changed three times, I enjoyed a last run through campus, cooking lunch with our contact's wife, Olivia, washing dishes for the housemaid-turned-Ugandan-sister, cleaning with Jeanne, a scavenger hunt with Lauren, an extended rest under my favorite tree (even though a peacock made a mess on my sandals and a monkey through a date at me as I read some of the Confessions), a walk with Jeanne and Casondra (we past a wedding and were invited to join for dinner), named a church, and a good-bye to our contacts.
I am thankful for this last day; I have been mourning our soon departure from Uganda and Africa and everything from the thunder as we waked to the beautiful peacocks overhead was a blessing.
