"It Is Well With My Soul"

After a lovely, long, and random Thursday that included my team, 2 pastors, 1 pastor's wife, a pastor's wife, a pastor's son, a trip to a church hosting us for lunch, a visit to a wildlife park (aka a Ugandan zoo), a camel ride, a 3-month old camel resting on my shoulder, dozens of kilometers driven through the hills of Kampala, and a lovely dinner with a previous Member of Parliament and his family, we prayed, fellowship-ed, and sang "It Is Well With My Soul" before we departed for our journey home to King's College-Budo.

I have loved ministry these last 3 months in Eastern Africa and as we prepare to leave and minister in eastern Europe, I am saddened, but little by little, God is showing me that "it is well with my soul" as the next round of 'good-byes' soon approaches.

I pray that–with God's leading–this perspective remains with me as I begin to look for funding to start up an NGO and a job in preparation for my return to the States in a few short months.
