I thought that this month would be filled with daily tears on my behalf, but more than anything–I have felt that I was called to serve and minister to the women here to speak up for them and share their stories with you. I have found myself rather upset and at times even angry at the men in the bars and the injustice around me, but sharing their stories has brought me a peace amid the chaos of this month.

Earlier today, as I finished up reading "Memoris of a Geisha" and turned to read Proverbs 31, the following verse not only made me reflect upon this month's challening ministry, but on my purpose here.

Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute.
-Proverbs 31:8

While I have reminded my teammates that the 13 of us each have 13 different ministries here, this verse was a good reminder to me, as well.

Even as our ministry wraps up in two days, I not only know my purpose for being here, but for the future months of the Race. It is not as though I 'needed' this reassurance, but I am grateful for it.
