Dear Hannah,
I know you're having such a hard time with this, but try not to drown in all the "lasts" this year.
This life you live right now is great, but it’s only the beginning. God has so many more things in store for you that you've yet to experience.
Right now you're thinking the song "I’ll be home for Christmas” just rang true for the very last time. You think that this will be the only place you'll ever feel home, but it’s not. It's just the homiest place you've ever lived in your short little life. Down the road you'll be living a life you've probably never imagined. And that life will feel more like home to you than this one right now. It's crazy to imagine and hard to believe, but it will happen. This isn't your last Christmas, it’s just that next year and the years after that will all be different, different in a good way. Change is what has made you into the young woman you are today, and change will mold you into the woman you will become 10 years from now. Don't fear the "last" for with a last always comes a start, a beginning.
Remember how when you were a little girl you never wanted to leave home? You thought you'd live with your parents forever. Then you moved out and started your own life, and loved it. Fear of the unknown is normal and letting go of the comfortable is hard but don't let it drive the rest of your life. Enjoy your last Christmas, New Years and Summer Camp here and all that comes with it! Cherish it, but don't dwell on how it’s all a last. Live in the moment and love every memory you're making and remember that you're here now because something else became a "last". You are moving forward onto great things! You will do great things, make great friends, love great places, and live in great moments! Cherish your life and live it to the fullest! Love without regret and give without hesitation. Your future is full and your destiny is beyond your wildest dreams.
Yours truly
