I’m such a country girl at heart!
I was born and raised in Illinois but moved to Oklahoma four years ago to work at Dry Gulch, USA. I honestly believe I was born in the wrong state. I absolutely adore the southern hospitality and slow pace life in Oklahoma. It’s so peaceful just drivin down country roads and bein able to see all the stars at night. I love how the walmart greeters ask you how you’re doin and the towns are always full of red necks. The town I live in has two gas stations, a post office, a bank, and we just got a dollar general! Buyin groceries at the gas station is normal and I’d rather get stuck in traffic with cows and tractors than cars and semi’s any ole day.
I was raised in church all my life, but I came to a point in life a few years back where I realized that just because I went to church on Sunday it didn’t make me a Christian. That bein a Christian isn’t about what we do, but who we know. It’s not about Religion, It’s about a relationship with Jesus Christ. I have been so blessed to work with people who have not only been great friends but also incredible mentors in my walk with God. It has been such a blessing to have people in my life who inspire me to deepen my relationship with God as well as share Him with others. God is no longer just some image that hangs on a wall, but He’s my God, Savior, Friend, Father, Provider, Encourager, Helper, Source of Strength, and Love of my life!
My favorite season is Fall, when the leaves begin to change, the air is crisp and it’s just chilly enough to wear a sweatshirt without freezing.
I looove to read! My favorite book to date would be Kisses from Katie by Katie Davis. I’m usually in the middle of at least three different books, but I tend to enjoy self help books the most.
There’s a lot more to me, but you’ll just have to wait and read about the rest in my future blogs.
