TDP
It could stand for…
– Too Darn Pretty
– The Dirty Pirates
– Tom & David’s Princesses (prepare yourself for some great pictures with this hashtag!)
– Team Dance Party
But in reality, it stands for Team Deep Pursuit. The 6 of us came up with this name during Training Camp just a couple hours after we found out we were a team. We all thought about what we wanted this next year to look like in our lives. There were a lot of ideas on the table but they all revolved around one thing – pursuing after the Lord and the people around us. With that in mind we came up with Deep Pursuit.
We want to grow deeper in our relationship with the Lord, each other as a team, and others on our squad. This happens by pursuing after those relationships.
But those can’t be done if you have to head home early because you miss your financial deadline.
Two of my teammates, Liana and David, have not met their $11,000 deadlines yet. They have until December 1 but they, and the other four of us, would love for them to reach it well before then.
TDP would not be the same without all 6 of us. Shoot, how can we create #Tom&David’sPrincesses if David or Liana don’t make their deadlines? As a team, we have faith that Liana and David will make this deadline and all of us will make the next.
However, they need your help; every amount helps. Currently, they are both a little over $1,000 away from their goal. You can click on their profiles on the left side of my blog or replace my name with theirs in the URL (DavidBatchelder and LianaKloss).
A little about them first…
David is a leader. He has a passion for spreading the Gospel. I was able to see this the moment we became TDP. We went out to eat during Training Camp and when we received our food he asked our waitress if we could pray for her. He hands out Gospel tracks wherever we go and always has games on his phone to break that language barrier with the little kids.
Liana is the sweet Southern girl. She’s the reason why I’m slowly but surely starting to say “y’all”. She brings joy to the team in no matter what type of situation. She has a passion for people and listening to what they have to say. She serves as being our team treasurer and taking care of us by bringing home Oreos or M&Ms when we’re desiring chocolate.
We have only been together for not even 3 months but I have seen these two pursue after the Lord and grow in their relationship with Him. Please help them continue to do this for the next 8 months on the Race.
I ask you to pray and listen to what God is placing on your heart.
“…each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. … He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God.” 2 Corinthians 9:7, 10-11
Grace and Peace,
Hannah
