In June 2009 God sent me on the 11 month adventure called the World Race. During those months He did an incredible transforming work in me and provided me with an amazing community who constantly demonstrated the love of Christ. In September 2010 He sent me to Kenya for 2 months with the Real Life program. I co-lead a group of 18-22 year olds and I fell in love: with my team, with Kenya, and more deeply with God. God is once again sending me out, giving me an opportunity to see His Kingdom on earth, to experience His consistency across nations, and to connect with more people.

This summer I will be leading another Real Life trip with Adventures in Missions/The World Race. The Real Life program is designed for 18-22 year olds, who have a heart for God and global missions, and who have a desire to see and be change in this world. I am still seeking God on where He wants me to go with Real Life this summer and probably won’t know for another month or so. There are so many possibilities of where He could send me! The trips run from approximately June 5-August 5 and there are opportunities on 5 continents! I could be in Africa, playing with children in an orphanage in Uganda or helping the people of Haiti as they continue to recover from last years devastating earthquake. I could be spending time in the red light district of Thailand, hanging out with the prostitutes, or floating from village to village down the Amazon River in Peru, simply living with the locals and being Christ to those we meet. I need to raise approximately $3,000 by June 1 for whichever trip I end up leading. This money pays for plane tickets, food, housing, short term traveler’s insurance, day to day living costs and other expenses that may come up. I feel immensely blessed for another opportunity like this and I feel ready for whatever is next. Being at home the past few months with no direction and basically no social life has been incredibly hard. But, I know that God has been in control and that each moment has had a purpose. And I know that the hard times are not over. I know that the next couple of months until June arrives will be filled with challenges and questions and uncertainty. And I know once June comes and I am out of America different challenges will emerge. But I am excited for it!
