For the past three months, leaving September 2015 for the race was a sure thing. I have to apologize and take back that statement and say it was a temporary thought. Through a lot of prayer and some common sense, I knew I had to change my departure date to an earlier route. My hope is to still go to graduate school for my Masters of Social Work when I return in 2016. Changing to an earlier route will give my mind and heart more ease because of the extra months I will have in the states before school starts. With all that being said, I now leave July 1st for the World Race and come back May 31st, 2016. (yes, I said the year 2016..CRAZY )
For those who have may not know, each route is different. Different teams, different hearts, different countries (BUT all the same purpose). Now that I am on a different route, the 11 countries have changed. Here is my new route:
China, Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Uganda, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Romania, Serbia, Albania.
My destinations may have changed, but my heart has stayed the same. I am very excited and a little bit scared (truth comes out). I’ll never be fully prepared for what I am jumping into, BUT I thrive for this. When I am out of my comfort zone, I know I am truly living.
Fact: I am more than ready.
