I hope this blog is a place that I can be totally transparent with the people who have so graciously chosen to support me through this endeavor. (If you haven’t gotten the opportunity to donate yet, it’s simple! Click “Support Me!”)
Things have been very hectic on my end these past few weeks to be honest. I feel like Satan has really been trying to distract me from my purpose. Not only have I been distracted from The Race and my funding duties, but from my school as well.
Today was our weekly Tuesday convocation at school. Honestly, I thought about skipping because of the rain and I needed to get a few things done. Also, the announcements said it was going to be about athletics, and I am in no way shape or form an athlete. I play intramural sports...not because I’m good at ultimate frisbee or volleyball either. Anyway, I ended up going.
Our men’s head basketball coach spoke. He began and ended with saying that we are all called to do something, we just need to pick up the phone to answer the call. Our plans are not God’s plans. We can’t even fathom what God has planned for our future. He has called us higher and he has called us deeper.
The World Race is my higher and my deeper. I wholeheartedly believe that. It’s going to take me places I couldn’t dare imagine to go on my own. God is going to reveal himself in ways I never knew was possible in my life. It’s almost unreal. It’s scary.
So now, my only plan is this: fund-raise for The Race while finishing my degree & then go on The Race.
Don’t forget to help support me by clicking on the “Support Me!” tab! Every bit counts!
Thanks!
