In life it is easy to get lost in the big picture. Wanting to always see what tomorrow holds. We are such a culture of wanting results that we don’t take the time to slow down and enjoy the moments that make life worth living.
What if we chose to have so much faith in the smallest of moments that these moments held an impact that lasted a lifetime?
Faith is a gift from the Lord. Learning to walk in faith is a gift from God.
Right now I am learning to relish in moments that seem small. In the moments that last but a second. A minute. Moments that only linger in the air for the amount of time you can see your breath on the coldest of mornings. It’s these moments that are impacting my life.
In Thailand it was spending a few hours with a little girl who is behind in her education because of learning impairments. Hugging her. Loving her. Praying over her.
In Malaysia it was the homeless man that Malorie and I sat down to pray with to find that he is a Christian as well.
In Nepal it was the sweet elderly woman who was brought to tears when I kissed her on the cheek.
In India it was praying over a women who was unseen by everyone around her. A woman who had no family. Who was crippled.
In Cambodia it was pulling a sweet little girl with cerebral palsy around on a carpet just to see her sweet little smile.
These moments. These moments that lasted but a second have an everlasting impact on my soul and theirs. These moments are filled with hope. Love. Joy.
These moments I choose to look at with faith. Faith in knowing that the seconds or minutes or hours I had with these people impacted their lives.
Every prayer. Every ounce of love. Every smile. Every hug.
These are MOMENTS OF IMPACT.
