Cambodia has been a wonderful and busy month. Ministry was great, we had the Awakening (which I will talk about more later), and we also had a debrief. Debrief is a time for our squad to come all together, grow together, cast vision for the next couple months, process the past couple months, etc.
This debrief was special, though. We had team changes and I now have a new team of 6 (not including myself) of sweet, gentle women who are powerhouses for God’s Kingdom. Our team name is Pearl’s of Faithfulness because pearls represent wisdom as well as something beautiful comes from that piece of sand. Faithfulness comes from Ruth because we love the example of her faithfulness to Naomi and we want to emulate her in our team and in life.
Meet my new team: Pearl’s of Faithfulness
We also had pretty much all our leadership positions on our squad changed. So new team leaders, new squad leaders (we had alumni Racers journeying with us and now we have 4 awesome raised up Sql’s who will be trained this month), and logistics.
So I am excited to announce I am one of the new logistics people for my squad! I will be partnering with my squad-mate Matthew in this. In BRIEF terms what that means is that we are in charge of getting our squad from one country to the next. Although, there is a lot more to it than just that. I’m super excited to get this position to be able to serve my squad and bring glory to God. I’ll be able to use some gifts, but I also know that God will have me learn a lot! I am also excited to be working with Matthew because I think our strengths and weaknesses will compliment each other well and I know we will have a lot of fun while doing it.
Meet my squad-mate Matthew and partner of logistics (or partner in crime) for at least the next 4ish months. (He’s eating a Krispy Cream doughnut).
Also, Cambodia is coming to an end to tomorrow as our squad will bus to our next destination: THAILAND!
So this next season of the Race will be all new beginnings. New team, new position, new country as I continue to walk and learn what God has for me.
